a)  The Office bearers of the Society shall be:

i) Chairman of the Governing Council;

ii) Secretary-General;

iii) Assistant Secretary-General;

iv) Deputy Regional Secretaries each representing East and Central Africa, Southern Africa, West Africa and North Africa respectively;

v) Treasurer

b)  The Office bearers shall be full members of their respective Corporate members of SONA.

c)   The Chairman of the Governing Council shall be elected for a term of two years and may not serve for two consecutive terms;

d)  Office bearers (except the Chairman of the Governing Council), shall hold office for a period of six years and shall be eligible for re-election.

e)  Office bearers may be removed from office in the same way as is laid down for the expulsion of members in rule (3d), and vacancies thus created shall be filled by persons elected at the meeting of the Governing Council resolving the expulsion.
